Born on 6th January 1981, to Smt. Jyochana Rani and Dr. Ajit Kumar Hota, He has completed his Diploma in Hotel Management from Govt Polytechnic, Berhampur, BBA in Hotel Management & MBA in Human Resource Management from (SHUATS), formerly Allahabad Agricultural Institute.
He is a seasoned event planner with over 14 years of experience in the industry. He owns an event management company named Event Plus, which is specializing in corporate, wedding, and social event planning, located on Giri Road, Hillpatana, Berhampur.
Before founding Event Plus, Manjit honed his skills in various high-level roles, including Senior Event Manager at Celebrations Live, Operational Manager at Sambit Resorts Pvt Ltd, and General Manager at ASP Group of Hotels. Residing in Berhampur for the last 4 decades, Manjit enjoys tree planting, dancing, long drives, and listening to music. His professional interests include budget management, wedding management, vendor management, and creativity. Passionate about creating memorable experiences, solving logistical challenges, and orchestrating seamless events, Manjit thrives on attention to detail and the satisfaction of successfully bringing an event to life.
Manjit has had a distinguished career in community service, beginning as a Rotaract member from 2000 to 2009 in the Rotaract Club of Berhampur Silk City. He joined the Rotary Club of Berhampur Central in 2010 and served as secretary during the 2012-13 and 2020-21 terms. Over the years, Manjit has held nearly every position in the Rotary Club of Berhampur Central, demonstrating his dedication and leadership in the organization. Not in rotary, but also he is associated with other originations like BNI Vintage currently he is serving as Vice president of BNI vintage Berhampur.
Manjit was honoured with the Best Personality in Event Management award by the English magazine World Watch. Additionally, he was recognized as a Covid Warrior by the Ganjam district administration .
Manjit is happily married to Ashasmita Hota, and they are blessed with a son named Beda Prakash Hota
